The world through Whitman

Hello, readers! Today’s post is my books of Walt Whitman’s poetry. He’s definitely an interesting writer, and has some stunning prose in his work. Being a transcendentalist, he had a unique way of looking at the world, and it’s interesting to be presented the world through the lense of his perception of his surroundings.

I had purchsed, “Leaves of Grass” for a university class on American literature, and was recently gifted this book of his poetry for my birthday. I’m looking forward to curling up with my new books and traveling to familiar places through unfamiliar perceptions.

QOTD: Do you have a favourite poet? If so, who is it?
